I don't think Mike Joseph was available for NYC radio in 1982. I believe he was in Chicago programming the Hot Hits format on the new WBBM-FM in Chicago. Scott Shannon was bound for NYC by all means and took over the old WVNJ Stereo 100 into the new WHTZ 100FM. It would had been a good battle if it was really between the Hot Rockin' Flamthrowin' Z100 versus All Hit 103.5 FM WAPP.
